Initial impact results from project show promising results

A report carried in the December issue of E Vision, ESGE’s regular newsletter for its members brings some really encouraging news about the project and its outcomes. Inital assessment of those who have taken part in the standardised courses involving partners in 8 Member States clearly show a higher rate of success in terms of certification amongst specialists who have taken part in these standardised courses than amongst those who haven’t. These courses have been run in 9 existing GESEA Diploma centres and 8 new target centres in Estonia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Ireland, Spain, Greece, Poland and Hungary. Furthermore, the emergence of a whole new cohort of trained and accredited trainers in both Basic and Intermediate Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy means a far greater availability of these specialised courses going forward.
