GESEA4EU Nurse Training in Nicosia popular with OR nurses

The GESEA4EU ENDO NURSES Congress took place on 14 September in the UNSCO lecture room in the University of Nicosia in Cyprus. It was organised by GESEA4EU, ESGE, the Nicosia Medical School and the School of Nursing together with the Pancyprian Associations for Nurses and Midwifes and the Association for Operating Room (OR) Nurses. Welcome talks were also given by representatives of Cyprus Ministry of Health the nurses department and the Nurses Professional Associations. They all stressed the importance and need of such congresses and workshops in Cyprus where there are now 325 nurses registered as OR nurses. 50 nurses participated in the theoretical part and 25 in the Hands On Training (HOT) course. 8 working stations were available and 10 international companies offered their devices, instruments and simulators. Evaluation forms were completed at the end of the congress by all nurses who attended the theoretical session as well as those who attended the HOT.
