Action for Endometriosis!

8 November 2023 | Endometriosis, a condition impacting 1 in 10 women and individuals assigned female at birth, involves the presence of cells resembling those in the lining of the womb found outside the womb. This condition can result in significant pain and health challenges.

Every March, a plethora of global initiatives, events, and campaigns come together to illuminate the impact of endometriosis. These efforts underscore the critical need for early detection, accurate diagnosis, and comprehensive support for those grappling with this condition.

In its commitment to enhancing care for those affected by endometriosis, GESEA4EU focuses on expanding the expertise of gynaecological surgeons and professionals in direct contact with endometriosis patients. By increasing the number of trained professionals, the initiative aims to elevate the standard of care and bring relief to individuals enduring the challenges associated with this condition. The  goal is to empower healthcare providers with the knowledge and skills necessary to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those suffering from endometriosis-related pain and complications.
